Is anime still popular in 2042?
By this point, the UK won’t have as many good imports of quality anime. Some may be pirated.
The most prominent anime would be some of the older “classics” by this time, particularly from the 2010’s.
Cackling at the bait-and-switch there. It sounds like she’s going to be a take on the classic manga/anime character in a quasi-European setting, the one girl who’s family are “from the East”, who’s got like mad ninja skills or whatever. Nope, her heirloom Japanese swords are because her parents were weebs.
