It occurs to me that, since if the four subjects got together and worked together, they could sweep the whole corrupt organization off the face of the earth, said organization MUST have installed some sort of post-hypnotic command that would prevent that. They may be evil, but they can’t be so stupid as to overlook that little detail. ^^.
I bet the whole “traitor” thing was made up and it was just a pretext to shift those three guys into overzealous mode — before discarding the three of them.
