Huh, underneath that rough, tough exterior….
….lay a rough, tough old man, who did his best with limited abilities to give his boys a fighting chance. I….have come to respect him….
It’s so easy with characters like this to take the black and white approach and say they’re good or bad – but there are layers to their actions. Extra complications are added when said individual passes away before they have a real chance to make amends that other characters badly need.
(In short, I love writing this sorta stuff!)
As someone said: the problem is not death, the problem is to die yourself (it’s painful in both physical and emotional ways).
Now that I think about it, shouldn’t our Death Horsewoman be able to do something about this? Or am I pushing things too far?
As far as Clara’s concerned, all she’s managed to do with her powers is kill people (whether they liked it or not). Her understanding of it all is pretty limited due to Dr Jennings withholding information, and being unable to converse with her APOC properly. Maybe in time though, that will change…
