Man down at Battersea.
What, you thought Jennings wasn’t going to get a second kill page? I’ve been waiting a few years for this moment, I’m not rushing it!

Does anyone mind if I cheer?
I encourage it 😀
Where’s the blood? No internal organs?
Cauterizaion…
Oh dear. Structural damage too? And weird stuff’s coming out of his body… Maybe this isn’t good after all…
Is that Anabelle out there, or is the missing fourth member of the team?
The only person currently outside the building on this page is a very dead Jennings :'(
Ah, we’re outside looking IN. I missed the panel gutter and the perspective shift.
The older I get, the harder it is for me to handle lower contrast edges. As I look at the page more carefully, the transition is obvious. 🙂
Don’t get old–old sucks. ><
No worries! It’s all good stuff for me to keep in mind as I go along, I still have plenty to learn when telling stories with comics.
For example, a few people on my tapas mirror site think Jennings isn’t human because of the black fire…he is very human, I just need to be more clear with my supernatural shenanigans!
Also I will try to avoid getting old, I’ve heard rumours about that…! :0
It’s a bit of a trade-off. Too little contrast is problematic for old farts like me, but too much contrast, and things start to look like a Disney cartoon. In all honesty, this is the first page I’ve ever had a problem seeing clearly, and most of that was simply not paying close enough attention to what you drew.
As for Jennings’ blood, it’s quite simple: The enchanted scythe drank it all, leaving only the dark magic. Q.E.D. ^^
“My Back Pages” from one of R. Zimmerman’s[0] albums, contains the refrain, “Ah, but I was so much older then; I’m younger than that now.”
[0] a former co-worker’s schoolteacher mum taught him before he changed his name
And don’t let the door hit you on the way out- oh, nevermind >:)
Go for three!
The smoking tatters bit was most impressive.
If it wasn’t for the fact that it destroyed the floor, the wall, and caused what soon promises to complete disintegration, I’d call this an…
…underkill.
*gets ready to dodge the tomatoes*
